Climbers will develop the technique, strength, and confidence required for competitive and outdoor climbing in a fun and rigorous training environment. Each team has specific prerequisites, goals, and expectations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tLearning Objectives\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>All Youth Team climbers will: <\/p>\n\t<ul>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tAnalyze and refine climbing techniques\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tEvaluate and uphold climbing gym etiquette and safety practices\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tIntegrate mental and physical training into on-the-wall practice\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tShow respect towards coaches and peers to cultivate a positive team environment\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tDemonstrate motivation to advance climbing pursuits\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4WzKoXLq9mM?si=7ZwbHFfl-o9dlBZd\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\t\n<h2>\n\t\t\tProgram Progression\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>Our Youth Team structure is informed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.contentstack.io\/v3\/assets\/blt9e58afd92a18a0fc\/blt56504605fd45bfd4\/66a3cf096a265b3d1e203ef4\/ADM_Manual_-_Updated_(2).pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">American Development Model (ADM)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sportforlife.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Long-Term-Development-in-Sport-and-Physical-Activity-3.0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canada&#8217;s Long-Term Development (LTD)<\/a> framework-two evidence-based models that guide youth athletic growth. Each team level is designed to meet climbers where they are developmentally, offering age-appropriate challenges and learning outcomes.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tClub Team\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><i>Climbing Students<\/i><\/p>\n\t<p><strong>Ages 7+ | 1 day\/week<\/strong><\/p>\n\t<p>The entry-level team is designed for climbers new to structured training. Participants must have completed at least one <a href=\"https:\/\/touchstoneclimbing.com\/diablorock\/youth-camps\/\">climbing camp<\/a> or 3+ months of climbing experience in the past year. Kids Club (7-11) and Youth Club (12+) practice once a week, focusing on foundational climbing skills, gym etiquette, and confidence-building exercises. Diablo Rock Gym does not offer Team Touchstone practices; however, our East Bay team practices nearby at <a href=\"https:\/\/touchstoneclimbing.com\/pacific-pipe\/youth-teams\/\">Pacific Pipe<\/a>\u00a0and our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/touchstoneclimbing.com\/team-training-center\/youth-teams\/\">Team Training Center<\/a>\u00a0(across the street from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/touchstoneclimbing.com\/ironworks\/youth-teams\/\">Berkeley Ironworks<\/a>).
