Berkeley Ironworks opened in the spring of 2000 and revolutionized the concept of the climbing gym. Now a beloved staple of the East Bay community, Ironworks continues to offer incredible climbing terrain, a stacked yoga and fitness calendar, a massive fitness area, and a passionate staff ready to help you reach your goals. <\/p>\n

In 2019, the Team Training Center<\/a>-a members’ only facility and home to our youth competitive program, Team Touchstone<\/a>-opened across the street from Ironworks, offering world-class bouldering terrain and four of the best training boards. With hundreds of routes and boulder problems spanning slab walls, steep overhangs, dihedrals, crack systems, and corners, there’s terrain for every climber.<\/p>\n

As a part of Touchstone Climbing, a public benefit corporation with 18 climbing gyms across California, Ironworks serves the Berkeley community through our ongoing community support<\/a> and outdoor stewardship<\/a> initiatives.<\/p>\n
