On November 12th, the Access Fund hosted a workday at Jailhouse near Sonora, CA. Over 200 tons of gravel was laid for a new parking area and road, new fences and gates were made and the access trail was improved.

Jailhouse has been a great example of the climbing community uniting. Sterling Ropes donated a large amount of camouflaged rope to help replace existing fixed draws, Touchstone provided a significant amount of money to replace anchors, bolts, and biners, and about 50 climbers came out to help with the work.

alt Jerry Doodrill came out and snapped photos of the hardworking crew of climbers.

There is currently a lock to the gate off of O’Byrnes Ferry Road. To find out the code, check out the Access Fund website. The website allows provides directions, information about how to get there, and other pertinent crag related information.
