The Oaks opened in North Berkeley in 2023 at the site of the historic Oaks Theater on Solano Ave. As Touchstone’s second movie theater retrofit, The Oaks is a bouldering-only gym featuring hundreds of problems on slab walls, steep overhangs, dihedrals, aretes, and an extensive fitness area. Whether you’re a newbie wanting to get fit or a serious climber training for your next bouldering trip, the Oaks is your home away from home. Paying homage to the building’s 90-year history, we host monthly movie screenings<\/a> that bring the community together under the same roof where audiences gathered for decades. <\/p>\n
