    Ali was born in Iran before making his way through Austria, New York City, and finally ending up in Oakland. He began climbing through friends, first in 2015 but again (and for real this time)…in... 2021 when he joined Pac Pipe when it first opened. In his free time, Ali loves to play ultimate frisbee competitively, cook, snowboard, discover new music, or just be up to no good.

    Kat recently moved here from Michigan and is excited to be in the Bay Area. After working on a trail crew for a couple of summers, she was introduced to climbing and knew that was... how she wanted to spend her time. Once she finished her degree at Michigan State, she packed up and headed to the West Coast. Kat loves all things nature—whether it’s hiking, climbing, or volunteering in the woods, that’s her happy place.
