Club Teams

Club team

The entry-level of Team Touchstone, our Club Teams are for new climbers who are excited about training and improving their climbing skills through structured practice.

While the primary goal of the Club Team is to cultivate foundational indoor climbing skills, some climbers from this program may eventually wish to compete in competitions. Others may pursue outdoor climbing. All are welcome!

This program aims to help athletes develop a love for the sport by becoming Climbing Students who look to further their growth through active observation and study of climbing. If they demonstrate the requisite technical proficiency and level of commitment during club team practices, they may be invited to join our Development Team.

YOUTH PROGRAM FORM

Team Touchstone

Team Touchstone

Team Touchstone is a youth climbing program that trains the next generation of competition climbers—those who are dedicated and want a serious training environment.

The team is divided into four levels: Club, Development, Training, and Competition. Climbers will be placed in 1 of the 4 levels based on age, experience, maturity, and climbing goals.

Climbers will develop the technique, strength, and confidence required for competitive and outdoor climbing in a fun and rigorous training environment.

It is expected that climbers on Team Touchstone are aware of the time, travel, and financial commitments that are required to take part in the USAC competition circuit. Admission to the team is by invitation only via tryouts or coach recommendation.

Club Teams

See above.

Development Team

Our Development Team offers a holistic training framework for youth climbers, including an introduction to why, what, and how to train. This team is geared toward climbers who are newer to routine exercising and want to pursue climbing in a structured, team-based environment.

Training Team

Our Training Team is the second level of Team Touchstone. It builds on the skills climbers acquired in the Development Team while delving deeper into specific training practices, from fitness and calisthenics to weights and climbing-specific exercises, as well as mindset and movement patterns.

Competition Team

Our Competition Team is for the most driven competitive athletes with a depth of competition climbing and climbing-specific training experience. The curriculum is focused on more advanced topics, such as competition strategy and training optimization, to elevate competition performance.

For information on upcoming tryouts, please fill out our Youth Program Form. We’ll be in contact.
