Helen (she/her)
My journey with yoga began as a high school elective class and eventually grew into a regular studio practice, where I worked in many capacities learning the ins and outs of supporting a yoga studio. I fell in love with the community of people all coming to find their version of peace or challenge, mental and physical. I completed two 200 hour power vinyasa trainings, in 2014 and 2016. I began teaching in 2016 and have grown immensely as a student and teacher over the past 10 years. I’ve taught as little as 1 class a week, to as many as 9, including yin, slow flow, power vinyasa with and without heat, and various workshops. My intent as a teacher is to provide a naturally welcoming environment where all levels may thrive, modifications are celebrated, and every practitioner finds what they need. One can expect to leave my class feeling a renewed sense of balance and contentment, inner strength, tranquility, and self-awareness. Outside of yoga, you’ll find me playing with my 4 cats and 6 chickens, gardening, oil painting, reading murder mysteries, cooking, swimming in the river, or saving up for my next big trip out of the country.
