Remie started her yoga practice in 2016 as a means to become healthier and to focus on her wellness. To Remie, the yoga mat became more than just a place to practice asanas. It became a space to find self-awareness, clarity, and openness to tackle any challenges in life, lessons which she also brings off the mat. She completed her 200 hour Yoga Wise teacher training in 2019 with Balance Yoga Center in San Jose, which focused on the study of traditional yogic practice and philosophy. When not practicing yoga, you can find Remie at a lab bench space doing science or going on hikes. In her yoga class, Remie guides her students through a series of postures that focus on balance, strength, alignment, and flexibility by allowing her students to sink deeper into each posture with longer holds and different variations. As a student herself, Remie is hoping to bring to her class the same reasons why she fell in love with the yoga practice: self-discovery and growth.
