Do you love listening to stories about climbing? Do you enjoy spending time with fellow outdoor enthusiasts? Are you really excited about the Save Donner Project and the idea of saving one of our local crags forever?
… Do you have $5?!
If you answered yes to one of more of these question, do we have a show for you! Sacramento is working with CRAGS to bring hometown hero Hans Florine to the gym for a night of stories, photos, and fun on Wednesday, May 6th at 7:00pm.
Turn out and support CRAGS, which is helping fund the land purchase at Donner Summit by the Access Fund and Truckee Donner Land Trust.
Climber, author and speaker, Hans Florine will share stories from his climbing adventures! He is the current speed record holder of ‘The Nose,’ a route up the center of El Capitan, which is arguably the most prestigious walls in the world and located in the heart of Yosemite Valley!
Hans will share stories of historic climbs, including his own adventures leading up to the 2012 record-breaking ascent with Alex Honnold, and insights into what it takes to climb fast in the Valley.
RSVP to this event and invite your friends! The more the merrier.

CRAGS is a group of active climbers with an agenda focused on community. “We are an organization that works hard to protect and expand access to local crags while continuing to improve those areas. We are guardians of the environment and champions for wildlife. We are educators that reach out to local organizations to teach and share our passion for climbing. We are representatives and diplomats for our sport and we do not carry that responsibility lightly. We are activists who are willing to fight for our cause.” They are a local affiliate with the Access Fund, a national climbing advocacy group representing over 1.6 million climbers.
