We’re happy to have welcomed the Fresno American Indian Health Project to MetalMark Climbing. FAIHP is a culturally sensitive health access and advocacy program designed to enhance the health and well being of the American Indian community in the City of Fresno, CA. The Health Project provides public health services and access to free & low cost quality health care. The primary program services are comprehensive case management, public health nursing, providing access to health services and prevention education.

The Warriors Within group went to MetalMark Climbing + Fitness to rock climb and do team building activities. The boys were trained on how to climb, as well as how to belay. “These young men took the learning very seriously and paid extra close attention to make sure they kept their partner safe,” said a coordinator.

At the beginning the boys tried the easiest walls, but soon advanced to the more challenging ones. “After the event the staff and young men talked about what they saw, heard, and felt. The young men said that they felt success, accomplishment, and excitement to possibly one day take on outside rock climbing. Special thank you to MetalMark Climbing! FAIHP and our youth truly appreciate your generosity and support for our organization,” said a coordinator.
