Do you wake up in the middle of the night thinking, “How do I learn to lead climb?” We’ve got you covered. This is THE class for individuals interested in entering the exciting world of lead climbing! Due to all the material we cover, we’ve broken the class into two sessions. Lead 1 is taught monthly and covers the fundamentals of lead climbing skills such as proper clipping methods, identifying dangerous foot placements, mock leading, mock lead belaying, and rope management. Participants must have a permanent Touchstone Climbing Top Rope card, and comfortably climb 5.11a or on-sight 5.10+. In Lead 2 you can expect to lead climb and belay. There is a strong emphasis on taking and catching falls. This clinic is a MUST for anyone looking to advance their skills and become a better lead climber. We recommend that people interested in lead climbing at any Touchstone Climbing Gym attend Lead 1 and Lead 2. This is the most popular climbing clinic at Mission Cliffs, so spots fill up fast! Be sure to reserve your space ahead of time. Book Now RELATED POSTS St. Peter’s Catholic School Finds Adventure Close to Home » Not Athletic?
