Sometimes, the combo package of a down-to-earth father and son needs no explanation. I have had the pleasure of spending time with both Pat and Matt Amicucci, and I enjoy the sense of humor and lightness of being that each of these individuals possess. They take the otherwise mundane events of daily life, and shine a bright light upon them to show us the beauty underneath each one. Once you hear the laugh of featured member, Pat Amicucci, you will always be able to place it amongst a crowd.

Bove) Suppose you had the normal necessities of food, clothing, water and shelter. What one other item could you not go a day without?

A) I don’t think there is anything that I could not go a day without. It is just a day.

B) If money was no object, what would spend time doing all day?

Sacramento PipeworksA) I don’t think that I could do any one thing all day. But, if money was no object, I would like to spend some time with an orphanage introducing preteens to new experiences.

B) Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?

A) Clint Eastwood!

B) What brought you to Pipeworks over 10 years ago, and what keeps you coming?

A) Wanting to expand my physical abilities. What has kept me here is the diverse social perspective.

B) Besides climbing and working out, what other physical activities do you participate in?

A) Depending on the time of year, Mountain Biking, Waterskiing, Snowboarding, Backpacking, Kayaking, Running, Snowshoeing, Sailing and road cycling.

B) If you could have any climbing partner for a day, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Sacramento Pipeworks A) I can’t say that I follow the climbing community that close. I wouldn’t want to put anyone through a boring day of climbing with me.

B) Which of the five senses would you say is your strongest?

A) At my age, all my senses are going bad. But if I have my glasses on, my sight is my strongest.

B) If you had a warning label, what would yours say?

A) Warning: I sometimes say the wrong thing.

B) With your son Matt being a chef, what is the most interesting food you have had prepared for you?

A) By Matt, tongue. By someone else, escargot.

B) Perhaps, the apple did not fall far from the tree. If you had a healthy go-to meal or snack, which flavors do you enjoy most?

A) Every morning! Dark Chocolate and coffee.
