The Access Fund’s Jeep Conservation Team is headed to Bishop, California!

The Jeep Conservation Team is the Access Fund’s “on-the-road” team of climbing area stewards.  They travel around the US, 10 months a year, assessing climbing area conservation and stewardship needs, working with locals to address these needs, training best management practices and motivating volunteers. You might have even met them at a gear demo at one of our gyms last fall!

In April, the Conservation Team will be working with the Bishop Area Climbers Coalition, Friends of the Inyo and local BLM at an Adopt-a-Crag to clean-up The Happy & Sad Boulders on Saturday, April 4.

Adopt a Crag Bishop

Volunteers are needed to help clean the area up after the BUSY winter bouldering season! Plan on getting to Happy Boulder parking lot around 8:30am for bagels and coffee, before heading off to work at 9am.

“We’re all huge fans of the climbing around Bishop, but with such a sensitive environment, its up to all of us to give back and help take care of this precious resource!”

Hope you can come by and give the Conservation Team a hand!
