The Touchstone Climbing Series is the largest climbing competition in the world! So far this year, the series has visited 8 of our gyms, bringing with it brand new competition routes and boulder problems. “Our TCS events are the perfect excuse for people to check out other Touchstone Climbing Gyms,” said Marketing Director Lauryn Claassen, “It’s fun to pile your friends into your car and make a road trip weekend out of it!”

Our route setting team brought their A-game to the event. “We really look forward to setting for competitions,” said Head Routesetter Jeremy Ho. “The movement can be more dynamic and exciting, and we roll out lots of brand new holds and volumes. Plus, it’s super fun to see people throwing themselves at your route in a competition setting.”

When the competitors were done climbing, they kicked back with beer and pizza in the outdoor plaza. (Yeah, that’s right. Pipeworks has a plaza)

All our TCS competitions run from 5pm-10pm. When score cards are turned in at 10pm, climbers stick around for the raffle. We had tons of prizes from Black Diamond, Blurr, Five Ten, evolv, Mountain Hardware, Mad Rock and more. Big thanks to our sponsors! Competitors are automatically entered into the raffle when the turn in their score cards, so everyone has a chance to win. “We love the idea that everyone can show up to a competition, have a great time, and walk away with a prize,” said Claassen. “Everyone can get involved no matter what grade you climb!’
